Day 1: Lisbon

On our first day, we begin in Lisbon’s modern district, Parque das Nações, a vibrant area developed for Expo 98 that celebrates Portugal’s rich maritime history from the Age of Discovery. Here, you'll admire daring and functional architecture, including iconic works by Calatrava, and experience the efficiency of Lisbon's public transport, which offers convenient access to the city’s heart. Our next stop is Alfama, Lisbon’s oldest neighborhood, where winding streets and alleyways create an authentic Portuguese atmosphere steeped in history.

Fátima is one of the world’s most important pilgrimage sites, known for the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to three shepherd children in 1917. The city attracts millions of pilgrims each year who visit the magnificent Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, where the tombs of the three visionaries rest, and the newer Basilica of the Holy Trinity, a remarkable example of modern architecture.
